Whether you are looking to enter the work force for the first time, find a new job, or are student transitioning from school to work, Rise provides opportunities for people to find jobs that fit their career goals, skills, and interests. Through these programs, Rise staff assist people in creating a person-centered plan that matches their needs and desires.
Vocational Evaluation: This program is intended for anyone with a diagnosed disability who is unsure of their specific job goals or career direction. Referrals must come from Minnesota Vocational Rehabilitation Services. We assess a person's interests and strengths and assist them in creating a plan consistent with that assessment and their own goals. This program also serves as a way to determine what specific supports or accommodations are needed for employment success.
Employment Exploration Services: As one of our newest programs, EES is a program intended for those exploring the possibility of working in the community. This program is aimed at people who haven’t decided that a community job is what they want. Employment Exploration allows people to tour job sites, conduct job trials and gain volunteer experience, and provides coaching and education regarding competitive, integrated employment opportunities in the community. Rise staff also assists in creating an individualized plan for every person’s job goals and skills.
Paid Work Experiences: Rise provides opportunities for people to test out jobs and work environments to see if they might be interested in it long-term. We have businesses all across the community who partner with Rise to provide these paid work experiences to persons served who are unsure of their career interests and goals. Referrals for these work experiences must come from Minnesota Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
