In addition to the many brochures and flyers about Rise’s program services, we publish the Rise Reporter, a news magazine with articles about current events, issues as well as the people we serve. Previous issues are available online for viewing or you may receive one in the mail free of charge.

Our annual reports give a recap of each year. We have also published several disability-related books for rehabilitation professionals, service consumers, and the general public which can be purchased online.

A New Vision by Don Lavin

“Imagine a world without disability / where human differences aren’t measured as flaws / and people are accepted for who they are. / Just belonging can open closed doors.”

So begins a new book written by Rise’s Vice President Don Lavin. It is the seventh book he has written for the disability-related field, but the first one written not exclusively for professionals or consumers within the field of employment and community rehabilitation. The book has a poignant message for people of all ages, all abilities, all nationalities.

“A New Vision shares how we at Rise view the roles and involvements of people who have disabilities in their communities,” said Lavin.
