  • Supported employment
  • Community integration
  • Life enrichment supports
  • Transportation

For people who are seeking to expand their opportunities by participating in nonvocational activities, Rise offers programs that address their individual interests and enrich their integration into community life.

People may benefit from activities such as volunteering with local organizations, recreational activities and community outings, exercise and health-related activities, art and music therapies, discussion groups, social skills development, behavior management, and customized respite.

Rise’s Consumer Advisory Council is a group of workers who meet monthly to discuss concerns and issues that affect adults with disabilities. Together we look for solutions to common issues such as transportation, employment barriers, and self-advocacy.

Education is also a key component of the Council. Through guest speakers and attending conferences, Council members learn about self-advocacy, working with the Minnesota State Legislature, and gaining self-confidence in their abilities to make choices in their lives.

The Council also gives back to their community by holding special events to raise money for other nonprofit groups. For instance, each year the Council raised money for the Great Twin Cities United Way and CEAP’s (Community Emergency Assistance Program ) food shelf located in Blaine.

Rise’s Day Training & Habilitation program facilities are conveniently located in Anoka, Bloomington, Coon Rapids, Crystal, Lindstrom, Spring Lake Park, and Minneapolis. We also provide community-based employment services throughout the Twin Cities, Central Minnesota, and East Central Minnesota.
